Biography

Mark represents both individuals and businesses, including those with interests locally and nationally. He works with clients to ensure that he is responsive to their needs and that their desired objectives are met.

His broad practice covers the areas of business law, real estate and estate planning.

He advises a wide variety of business clients focusing on corporate and commercial areas of law ranging from the entrepreneur who is looking for a structure for a new business to the existing businesses which are looking to restructure their affairs. He advises on various business formation options and contractual alternatives to document the relationship between business owners, joint venturers, shareholders and partners.

For many years he has worked closely with the principals of Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada, the exclusive Canadian distributor for Harley-Davidson, in their business and personal interests including corporate reorganizations, contract review and negotiations with its various subsidiaries and other related corporate matters.

In addition, Mark has significant experience in connection with real property and commercial matters including acquisition and disposition of real estate, financing and development matters.

Mark represents private charities and not-for-profit organizations including churches, social service and cultural organizations, housing societies and recreational associations on matters ranging from incorporation, organization and governance to obtaining charitable status and advising on business activities.

Serving individuals and their needs, Mark advises on estate planning, wills and the administration of estates. He frequently works with families on sensitive issues related to multi-generational estate planning as well as planning for incapacity, powers of attorney and representation agreements.
